Open air opera Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto at Loyton Lodge on Sunday 20th July. In aid of the Devon Comunity Foundation
Loyton Lodge and New Devon Opera (NDO) are pleased to present Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto. Welsh-trained coloratura soprano Debra Morley was one of the fifteen finalists in May at the José Cura Opera Project. Upon hearing her, NDO's Patron and international superstar tenor José Cura was so impressed, that he immediately chose her to sing the role of the doomed heroine - Gilda - for our production!

respectively the roles of the tragic Jester, Rigoletto , and the flirtatious Maddalena. , American bass Paul Goodwin-Groen completes the international line-up as the assassin, Sparafucile.
The opera will be performed in the grounds of Loyton Lodge as an
open-air event. Seats are provided, but we regret cannot be reserved
in advance. In the event of rain, all the seats are covered.

Parking
The car park is located in a field a short walk from the grounds of Loyton Lodge. (Sensible footwear is advisable). Disabled guests can be dropped off (see signposts for directions) and then it is requested that vehicles are returned to the main car park. Although the pathway between the seating area and the car park will be lit, guests may wish to bring a torch for their return after the performance. Please note that the car parking area at the front of the lodge is not available.
