To experience Loyton Lodge is to experience carefully considered comfort, luxury hotel accommodation, privacy, relaxation, fun and escape, within a family environment for those looking to explore the Devon, Cornwall and Somerset region.

Designed primarily as a Shooting Lodge within an area renowned for its excellent country sports, the aim was to create luxury hotel accommodation in a unique country house party environment where groups of people could relax and enjoy some time away, but without the troubles of self-catering. 

Wake up to birdsong and the sound of the stream outside your window, the comforting sounds and smells of a 'proper' breakfast being prepared…the aromas of Italian coffee and English tea, newspapers and country air..  If yours is an unstructured weekend, while away your time enjoying country walks, croquet on the lawn, reading by open log-fires, perhaps tea and Marmite on toast…  Even the dogs are welcome to make themselves at home..

Later, unwind in a deep, roll-topped tub – a glass of bubbly to hand…before joining your party and helping yourselves to a pre-dinner drink.  A wonderful menu will be provided to your choice, accompanied by fine wines……and so to party wildly into the night?  Or enjoy a more intimate evening, later tasting our selection of malts and indulging in a game of billiards…
